About us:

We are dedicated to reaching those living in poverty and promoting education as a vital step forwards. This means we have a better chance of ending poverty for good.

Who are we?

Goodness and Mercy Missions (GMM) was founded in late 2007 by Teh Francis Yai and Natalie Runyon, as a non-profit organization, aimed at impacting communities in Cameroon.

How we work?

GMM is a membership organization. The members are the staff and the board that sits periodically to see how things fare in the organization. The various community groups GMM works with are also members of Goodness and Mercy Missions. Goodness and Mercy Missions was formed in response to community demands and not because of any availability of International funding.
This latter has come to boost the activities of GMM. We thought we could coach the community with ideas they can use by themselves for their own good as well as lobby for help elsewhere, all things being equal.

Our office is at Women's Rest Rest House, Belo Town. Belo Town is Belo Sub Division is part of Boyo Division, North West Region of Cameroon. We operate in Belo Sub Division, in the other Divisions and in many parts of the North West Region of Cameroon.

Who we target?

We discovered that rural communities in Cameroon continue to suffer not so much because of the economic situation of the country but because of the lack of initiatives for individuals to help themselves and come out of their predicament.
We also learnt that there are some disadvantaged in the communities who are physically incapacitated and therefore cannot do anything to help themselves. Also under this category are needy children, orphans and street children.
We decided to identify them and help them as much as possible.

Another reason GMM was formed was to sensitize, create awareness, and educate the community on vital issues plaguing the wellbeing of the society, e.g., on HIV/AIDS and the dangers of plastic papers.

Child Sponsorship

We work with many children who are orphaned or who are living in abject poverty. They do not have access to education, healthcare or sufficient food, and through finding sponsors for these children and young people we hope to not only provide these basic needs but also to help their self esteem.
